Very sad news that actor Bud Cort has died today at the age of 77. He rose to fame in 1970 with appearances in the movies "MASH", "Brewster McCloud", and most famously, one of my favorite films, "Harold and Maude", in which he gave a profoundly iconic performance, rich with nuanced vulnerability, as an eccentric man obsessed with death. Cort's other 82 film and TV credits include roles in "The Life Aquatic with Steve Ziddou", "Coyote Ugly", "Arrested Development", and "Ugly Betty". He was evidently ill for a long time, which led to his death. Luckily, his wonderfully quirky screen spirit will live on.
