I'm sorry to announce the recent passing of Earl Holliman, a likeable, rugged, talented actor of stage and screen. He appeared in nearly 100 films and TV shows between 1952 and 2000, and excelled at playing offbeat, macho type men. Arguably best known for starring opposite Angie Dickinson in the 1970's hit TV series, "Police Woman", Holliman also appeared in many movies, including numerous Westerns such as "Gunfight at the O.K. Corral" and "The Sons of Katie Elder", and two films already on this blog, "Forbidden Planet" and "Giant", where you can read more about this fine actor (just click on the film titles to open the posts). Earl Holliman passed away on November 25 at the age of 96, and was survived by his spouse, Craig Curtis. Holliman added a breath of fresh air to everything in which he appeared.
